Set in a strategic position in the heart of the old town, the building, with its peculiar trapezoidal courtyard shape, delineates the block. Regrettably, during the course of its history, but perhaps already from the beginning, the organicity of the original building has disappeared due to the change of different owners and the alterations have not always been consistent with the building’s own identity.
This led to the urgent need to conceive a general redevelopment that would preserve the original features, refresh the architectural image and improve the visual perception of the whole by adding a technological and energy performance upgrade able to ensure high standards of comfort.
